Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Crusader, a service of Story STL LLC ("Story," "we," "us"), including the myportal.storystl.com application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Crusader provides AI-assisted generation of marketing content — including text, images, websites, print materials, social posts, and presentations — based on a brand brief developed with you by a Story strategist. Every plan can generate every content type the Service offers; your subscription plan determines your monthly allotment of generation credits, not which tools you can use.

2. Accounts

Accounts are provisioned by Story following a brand-build engagement. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Team-plan accounts may include additional seats for members of your organization; you're responsible for their use of the Service too.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

The Service is billed on a recurring subscription, monthly or annually as you select at signup, via our payment processor, Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal linked in your dashboard.

Separately, each account starts with a one-time Brand Build fee, covering the strategy work a Story strategist does to build your brand brief — $499 for one audience segment, plus $349 for each additional distinct audience you choose to add. Annual subscribers on the Better or Best plan receive a discount on the Brand Build fee (50% off on Better, free on Best); this discount is tied to the annual commitment as described below.

Refunds: if you cancel within 7 days of signing up, we'll refund your subscription payment in full. The one-time Brand Build fee is not refundable — it reflects strategist work already completed for your business, not a software cost. If you paid annually and received a Brand Build discount, that discount amount is deducted from your refund, since it was earned only by the annual commitment you're cancelling. Outside the 7-day window, fees are non-refundable except where required by law. To request a refund within the window, email greg@storystl.com.

Each plan includes a monthly allotment of generation credits that resets each billing cycle. Unused credits do not roll over. If your account falls past due on payment, generation access is paused until billing is resolved.

The Service uses third-party AI models to generate text and images based on your brand brief and prompts. You understand and agree that:

You retain ownership of the brand materials, intake information, and prompts you provide us. Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, you own the content generated for your account through the Service and may use it for your business purposes.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to generate content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that impersonates another person or brand without authorization. We may suspend accounts that violate this section.

7. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. We may suspend or terminate accounts for non-payment or violation of these Terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Story STL LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on AI-generated content.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
